The Jordanian Public Security announced today, Tuesday, the discovery of parts of an unidentified drone in the Irbid Governorate, northwest of the country. The Public Security Directorate stated that it is conducting investigations in collaboration with the armed forces regarding the drone parts found.

The debris was located in a deserted area within a region from which a report about hearing an explosion sound was made, noting that the incident did not result in any significant damage. Additionally, the statement quoted an official spokesperson saying, “An investigation has been launched to determine the source of the drone and the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

The public has been urged not to circulate videos unrelated to the incident. This announcement comes shortly after a statement by Iraqi armed factions claiming they targeted Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport with drones.

The statement released by the so-called “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” did not provide further details, and there has been no Israeli comment on the matter.
