The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its spokesperson Christophe Lomoy, has expressed deep concern over the ongoing military operations in Rafah, a city located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. In an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya Al Hadath news channel on Friday, Lomoy stated, “Paris is doing everything possible to halt the hostilities and allow humanitarian aid to reach the people of Gaza.”

The French official emphasized the urgent need to end the disaster faced by the residents of Gaza, cautioning against the repercussions of escalating military actions on the Palestinian city of Rafah.

Lomoy mentioned that France is currently engaged in discussions with all relevant parties to resolve the crisis in the region, describing these talks as “critical.”

This statement comes as the US State Department warned that any Israeli military operation in Rafah, which has become a refuge for over a million people, conducted without careful planning or consideration, would be “disastrous.”
