Algeria and China have expressed a mutual desire to explore new investment horizons, particularly in vital sectors such as agriculture, energy, and industry.
This commitment was highlighted at the conclusion of the eighth session of the Algerian-Chinese Joint Committee on Economic, Commercial, and Technical Cooperation held in Beijing on Tuesday.
The session was co-chaired by Algerian Minister of Housing, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, and Chinese Minister of Commerce, Wang Wentao.
During this session, both parties reviewed the efforts made to enhance bilateral relations that have been built over the years, reaffirmed by the official visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to China in July.
The two sides evaluated the outcomes of cooperation in various fields and explored new prospects for elevating these bilateral relations. They encouraged initiatives based on direct and joint investment, emphasizing the “win-win” principle.
In his speech, the Algerian minister called for necessary efforts to implement the results achieved, expressing satisfaction with both sides’ readiness to strengthen the bilateral legal framework.
The signing of new legal documents is expected to give a significant boost and add more dynamism to the bilateral relations. These agreements will open broader prospects for cooperation in several vital areas, including agriculture, energy, industry, health, renewable energies, transportation, and the services sector.
This development marks a significant step in strengthening the Algerian-Chinese partnership, reflecting both countries’ commitment to deepening economic ties and expanding collaboration in key areas of mutual interest.
