The Russian Ministry of Defense declared on Friday that it successfully thwarted Ukrainian attempts to cross to the left bank of the Dnieper River. In a week marked by intensified military engagements, Kiev reportedly suffered significant casualties, with around 275 soldiers lost on the Kherson axis alone.

Providing a detailed account of the confrontations, the Russian defense statement revealed that Ukrainian forces faced setbacks on multiple fronts. On the Zaporozhye axis, Ukrainian losses amounted to approximately 230 soldiers over the past week. Russian forces, according to the statement, successfully repelled six attacks on the Donetsk axis, resulting in more than 1,785 Ukrainian soldiers casualties.

The southern Donetsk axis witnessed seven additional thwarted attacks, with Ukrainian losses totaling about 850 soldiers, along with three tanks and 11 armored vehicles in just one week. The Krasny Liman axis reported significant Ukrainian losses as well, totaling around 995 soldiers.

Highlighting the air defense capabilities, the Russian Ministry of Defense also announced the destruction of a Ukrainian drone in the airspace of Belgorod Province, which borders Ukraine. The statement emphasized the successful prevention of a terrorist attack on Russian territory, crediting the vigilance of Russian air defense systems.

The developments underscore the heightened tensions in the region as both sides engage in intense military exchanges, with the conflict showing no signs of abating. The Russian Ministry of Defense remains vigilant, actively thwarting potential threats to its territory and asserting control over key strategic areas.
