In a remarkable rescue operation, the Civil Protection Department of Blida Province, Algeria, saved three children from certain death due to carbon monoxide poisoning on Wednesday evening.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of Civil Protection, the victims, aged between 1 and 11 years, suffered from asphyxiation caused by a carbon monoxide leak. The dangerous gas emanated from a water heater in the Dardara neighborhood of the Blida municipality and district.
The emergency responders promptly provided first aid at the scene. Following this, the children were swiftly transported to Ben Boulaid Hospital to receive necessary medical treatment.
