On Sunday, Palestinian telecommunication company “PalTel” announced a gradual return of telephone and internet communications in various parts of the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli army continues its operations.

In a statement, the company stated, “We are pleased to announce the gradual resumption of fixed, mobile, and internet communication services in central and southern Gaza.”

PalTel confirmed that its teams successfully reached and repaired the main fault site after multiple attempts in recent days.

On December 14, Palestinian telecommunication companies “PalTel” and “Jawwal” issued a joint statement regarding the complete disruption of communication and internet services in Gaza.

“At that time, PalTel expressed regret for announcing a complete disruption of all communication and internet services with the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing aggression,” the statement read.

The Israeli military conducted new airstrikes on Gaza on Sunday, despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s pledge to continue “military pressure” despite increasing pressure for negotiations to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas.

The conflict in Gaza has entered its 72nd day, with Israeli forces continuing to bomb cities and provinces in the north and south of the Gaza Strip amid fierce clashes and international concerns about the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region.
