Russian President Vladimir Putin launched today two nuclear-powered submarines, “Emperor Alexander III” and “Krasnoyarsk,” capable of carrying intercontinental nuclear missiles, emphasizing their role in safeguarding Russia for years to come.

Putin stated, “We continuously equip our naval forces with the latest equipment and weapons, while consistently increasing our weapons production capabilities.”

He pointed out that these submarines will soon join the Russian Pacific Fleet.

Furthermore, Putin revealed that five more submarines of the same class are currently under construction, with the “Sevmash” shipbuilding and submarine construction facility nearing completion of the atomic submarine “Arkhangelsk.”

He disclosed that the “Sevmash” facility will produce three strategic missile-carrying submarines of the “Borei-A” class in the coming years.
