Google has further expanded its suite of applications and services by introducing the AI-powered tool “Help me write” into several of its products, aiming to simplify users’ lives by assisting them in writing more effectively and efficiently.

According to 9to5Google, Google is now integrating the “Help me write” feature into its web browser Chrome.

The report indicates that this feature will be available on the desktop version of Chrome, which includes operating systems like Mac, Windows, and Linux.

For those unaware, the “Help me write” tool is already accessible in Gmail, Google Docs, Keep, Google Messages, and more.

“Help me write” is Google’s popular AI application across its apps and services. This feature enables users to write better, faster, and more efficiently.

It starts by taking a brief prompt from the user and then generates content based on this prompt.

In Chrome, the feature has been implemented in the auto-fill popup window when users attempt to enter text online.

The tool can also be accessed by right-clicking on a webpage. This implementation also uses the context of the website to generate content based on the user’s prompt.

It can be used to create summaries of content, write reviews for locations, and more.

The report also suggests that Google may have made some changes and adjustments to the tool to optimize it for Chrome use, as compared to its implementation in Docs, Gmail, and Messages.

Users have the option to shorten or elaborate the text. Additionally, users can choose between a more casual or formal tone.

The “Help me write” tool has not yet been rolled out in the stable version. However, it is available via //flag, but an additional build flag is required to enable it.
