The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) representative in Sudan, Mandeep O’Brien, expressed deep concern yesterday over the escalating clashes in Khartoum, Darfur, and Kordofan.

Speaking on the platform “X,” O’Brien highlighted that millions of children and families are living in an unending nightmare in Sudan, day after day.

She emphasized the urgent need to halt the violence, support humanitarian aid, and protect children.

This statement underscores the grave situation in Sudan, where ongoing conflicts are severely impacting the lives of the most vulnerable, particularly children.

UNICEF’s call to action aims to draw international attention to the dire circumstances in Sudan and the critical need for immediate intervention to ensure the safety and well-being of children and their families.
