On Wednesday, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that 27 cancer patients and 13 of their companions from the Gaza strip have traveled to Turkey for medical treatment.

They are the first group to be transported from Gaza to Egypt and then to another country since the start of the conflict.

Minister Koca also mentioned that efforts are ongoing to transport civilian casualties, children with injuries, and more cancer patients, who number over a thousand in Gaza, to Turkey.

Officials have revealed that Egypt has prepared 35 ambulances equipped with mobile incubators after the deaths of three premature infants in Gaza’s besieged Al-Shifa Hospital due to a power outage affecting their incubators.

Additionally, 91 trucks loaded with food, medicine, bottled water, blankets, and tents entered Gaza from Egypt on Tuesday.

However, the United Nations asserts that the deliveries since October 21st have included a total of 1,187 trucks, addressing only a small portion of the needs.

The distribution of aid has been significantly hindered due to fuel shortages.

The United Nations calls on Israel to open the Kerem Shalom crossing to allow larger quantities of aid to enter Gaza.

After the first fuel truck entered the Egyptian Rafah crossing on its way to Gaza on Wednesday, witnesses reported that two more trucks are already on the Egyptian side, although it is unclear when they will enter.
