Saudi Arabia has declared that it currently has no plans to leverage its influence on global oil prices as a tool to facilitate a ceasefire in the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Khaled bin Abdulaziz al-Faleh, the kingdom’s Investment Minister, made this clear in an interview with Bloomberg.

“At the moment, such an approach is not part of our agenda. Saudi Arabia is committed to pursuing peace through diplomatic negotiations,” Al-Faleh stated in response to inquiries on the matter.

In addition to emphasizing the diplomatic approach, the minister disclosed that Riyadh is gearing up to host summits in the near future, with the participation of African nations.

The goal of these summits is to explore avenues for a peaceful resolution to the enduring Middle East conflict.

This statement from Saudi Arabia underlines its commitment to a diplomatic solution and signifies a strategic approach that prioritizes dialogue and negotiations over economic tools like oil prices.

As the situation in the Middle East remains complex, the kingdom’s focus on fostering peace through diplomatic channels reflects its dedication to contributing positively to regional stability.
