France’s Defense Minister Sébastien Le Cornu, has announced that France plans to allocate an additional €200 million to the Ukraine Support Fund.

This move will enable the Ukrainian military to continue purchasing French weaponry.

Speaking before the French Parliament, Le Cornu was quoted by “Le Monde” as saying, “You have voted in the committee in favor of an amendment allowing an additional €200 million to be allocated to the Ukraine Support Fund.”

He further added that the government would ensure the allocation of these funds, which would enable Ukrainian forces to proceed with the acquisition of French arms.

Lecornu noted that the extension is part of the financial bill scheduled for Wednesday’s consideration, which includes adjustments to the current fiscal year’s appropriations.

This decision underscores France’s commitment to supporting Ukraine in its efforts to strengthen its military capabilities amid ongoing geopolitical challenges.

The move aligns with France’s broader foreign policy objectives and its support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
