The Italian government expressed its readiness today, Friday, to receive the injured Palestinians who have left the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing on the Egyptian border.
Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani told reporters at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Rome, “I have issued instructions to our diplomats to take the necessary measures so that our hospitals can treat the Palestinian civilians who have left the Gaza Strip.”
He added, “Italy is ready to welcome civilians in need of specialized medical assistance. In this way, we also play our humanitarian role.”
The Italian initiative comes as a humanitarian gesture to provide medical aid to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
The effort also reflects Italy’s continuous commitment towards humanitarian causes and supporting civilians in conflict zones.
