In a recent meeting in Malta, Andriy Yermak, the Director of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament, jointly emphasized the need for tightening sanctions against Russia.
They also discussed exploring legal mechanisms to utilize frozen Russian assets.
The Office of the President of Ukraine, headed by Volodymyr Zelensky, issued a statement through the Ukrainian news agency “Ukrinform” highlighting the discussions during the meeting.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the third gathering of national security and foreign policy advisors regarding the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula.
During the meeting, Yermak expressed gratitude for the European Parliament’s support of the Ukrainian peace formula and expressed hope for their continued active participation in its implementation.
He also praised the significant decisions made by the European Parliament in support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in their struggle against Russia, particularly in the context of defense and financial assistance.
