Saudi Arabia has reiterated its rejection of calls for the “forced displacement” of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and condemned Israel’s continued targeting of “innocent civilians.”

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its “strong rejection of calls for the forced displacement of the Palestinian people from Gaza and its condemnation of the ongoing targeting of innocent civilians there.”

Saudi Arabia renewed its appeal to the international community to swiftly act to halt all forms of military escalation against civilians, prevent a humanitarian catastrophe, and provide the necessary relief and medical supplies to the population.

The ministry added that “depriving them of these basic requirements for a dignified life constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and will exacerbate the crisis and suffering in the region.”

Saudi Arabia also called for the lifting of the blockade on their brothers in Gaza and the evacuation of civilian casualties.
Thousands of Palestinians evacuated to southern Gaza on Friday following an Israeli army call, which was rejected by Hamas, to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip, amid indications of a possible ground operation in response to the deadliest attacks in Israel’s history.

The Saudi statement coincided with the arrival of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Riyadh as part of a regional tour involving six Arab countries.
Saudi Arabia issued several statements over the past week reaffirming its support for the Palestinian cause.

Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of forced displacement and its call for international action align with broader global concerns regarding the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. The Saudi government’s consistent support for the Palestinian cause underscores its commitment to humanitarian principles and regional stability. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to Saudi Arabia reflects ongoing diplomatic efforts to address the crisis and seek a peaceful resolution.
