Huawei has unveiled its latest wireless earbuds, the FreeBuds Pro 3, boasting protection against sweat, rain, and dust with an IP54 rating.

The Chinese tech giant has highlighted that these new wireless earbuds support the L2HC 3.0 Bluetooth codec, allowing for audio transmission over Bluetooth at speeds of up to 1 megabit per second and a maximum of 24 bits at 96 kilohertz.

Furthermore, the wireless earbuds also support Sony LDAC, Qualcomm aptX, LHDC, and AAC codecs. Huawei has emphasized that the Kirin A2 Bluetooth chip enables a more reliable connection with minimal latency.

Combining 11mm drivers and a high-frequency speaker, the earbuds offer a frequency range spanning from 14 Hz to 48 kHz.

The Spatial Audio feature tracks the user’s head movements, and the active noise-canceling feature automatically adapts to the surrounding environment. The earbuds’ functions can be controlled via the touch-sensitive surface.

The earbuds provide a battery life of 4.5 hours, with the charging case offering enough power for four additional charges. The case can be charged via USB-C or wirelessly.

Huawei’s FreeBuds Pro 3 represents a significant advancement in wireless audio technology, catering to users’ demands for high-quality sound, convenience, and protection against the elements.

These earbuds are poised to be a strong contender in the competitive wireless earbud market, offering a comprehensive feature set that appeals to audio enthusiasts and everyday users alike.

The Huawei Connect event, now in its eighth iteration, was inaugurated in Shanghai, unfolding from September 20-22, and signifying its inaugural occasion post-global health turmoil.

The 2021 event casts a spotlight on Artificial Intelligence (AI), mirroring Huawei’s principal emphasis on the African domain. On September 20, during the Huawei Northern Africa Night, Terry HE, the regional President for Huawei in Northern Africa, unveiled a refreshed strategy with a vision to navigate Africa toward a “smart and connected future.”

Entitled “Accelerate Intelligence for New Africa,” the strategy stands as more than a straightforward roadmap – it is an encompassing plan targeting Africa’s technological and digital horizon.
