A vessel from the Egyptian Navy has docked at Port Sudan in Sudan, carrying hundreds of tons of relief supplies.
The ship, which sailed from the Safaga port at the Red Sea Naval Base in Egypt, was laden with food, provisions, and medical supplies.
These aid materials were generously provided by the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society, the Arab League, the Egyptian Red Crescent, and the Sudanese Embassy in Egypt.
This initiative was carried out in response to directives from President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, emphasizing Egypt’s commitment to support their Sudanese counterparts.
Sudanese officials have expressed profound gratitude for the relentless efforts made by both the Egyptian government and its people to overcome the challenges faced by the people of Sudan.
This gesture underscores Egypt’s active role in assisting its neighbors, showcasing solidarity and support during times of crises and hardships.
The “Sudan War Monitor” organization, which provides conflict analysis, reported that the RSF attacked areas controlled by the army on Saturday, including an administrative building at the Ministry of Justice.
Numerous government buildings were reported to be ablaze due to the offensive. Witnesses said the assaults on army headquarters continued into Sunday, saying, “All types of weapons are being used in clashes around the army’s command.”
