In the face of the highly dangerous Hurricane Idalia’s arrival, US airlines have taken the precautionary measure of canceling over 900 flights on Wednesday, according to flight tracking website “FlightAware.”

Flight tracking site “FlightAware” revealed that “Southwest Airlines” has canceled more than 200 flights, while “Delta Airlines” had to cancel 148 flights, and the “American Airlines” group scrapped 98 flights. Additionally, around 795 flights were delayed due to the impending threat.

Airports in cities like Tampa, Clearwater, and Tallahassee halted their operations and commercial activities ahead of Ida’s landfall.

Earlier today, the National Hurricane Center reported that Hurricane Idalia made landfall on Florida’s coast, moving at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour, with wind speeds reaching up to 205 kilometers per hour.e duties).
