The Israeli army announced on Thursday morning the death of two of its soldiers and the injury of others during ground battles within the Gaza Strip.
With the deaths of these two Israeli soldiers, the total number of casualties among their troops during the ground offensive rises to 51, while the overall number of Israeli army casualties since October 7th of the previous year now stands at 370.
The Israeli army had declared on Wednesday the deaths of two of its members and the serious injuries of others during clashes on Tuesday in northern Gaza.
According to the Israeli army’s official website, the two killed soldiers are:
1. Captain Reservist Omri Yosef David (27 years old) from Karmiel, serving as the Deputy Commander of a platoon in the 9217 Battalion of the Negev Brigade 12.
2. Captain Yedidia Asher Lev (26 years old) from Matan Menasheh, serving as the Deputy Platoon Commander in the Shakid Battalion of the Givati Brigade.
With this, the total number of Israeli army casualties in the Gaza offensive since October 7th of the previous year rises to 368, with 49 casualties since the start of the Israeli incursion into Gaza.
On the Palestinian side, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported the deaths of approximately 11,500 Palestinians, including 4,710 children, around 3,145 women, and 685 elderly individuals since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza.
The number of missing individuals stands at 3,640, including 1,770 children still under the rubble.
