The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the killing of 300 Ukrainian soldiers in a precise airstrike over the past 24 hours.

The ministry stated in a statement carried by the Russian news agency TASS on Saturday, “A precise strike with ammunition launched from the air at a Ukrainian deployment site resulted in the death of 300 Ukrainian militants.” The video published by the Russian Ministry of Defense shows that Russian forces dropped an ODAB-1500 aerial fuel bomb on the Ukrainian militants, indicating that the Russian Defense Minister was informed of the destruction of Ukrainian manpower and military hardware, which was confirmed through recorded data.

In contrast, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in a statement carried by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, pointed to 78 engagements between Ukrainian army elements over the past 24 hours. It added that Russian forces carried out attacks on Ukrainian territory overnight. The statement explained that Russian forces launched 68 air raids and carried out 10 missile strikes and 89 rocket attacks using a multiple launch rocket system on Ukrainian soldiers’ positions and populated areas, noting air raids on locations of Russian soldiers and military equipment, with a Ukrainian fighter targeting sound areas of Russian forces and military equipment belonging to the Russian army.

The General Staff also confirmed the death toll of Russian soldiers had risen to 429,580 since the start of the Russian military operation, adding that during this period, Russia lost 6,779 tanks, 12,973 armored vehicles, 10,606 artillery systems, 1,017 multiple launch rocket systems, 719 air defense systems, 347 fighter jets, 325 helicopters, 26 warships, as well as 1,712 special equipment pieces, 8,268 drones, one submarine, and 14,024 vehicles and fuel tanks.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported today that its forces successfully destroyed two Russian “Shahed” drones that attacked the Kharkiv region. The Ukrinform news agency quoted the Air Force statement that – over the past 24 hours – Ukrainian defense forces destroyed two Shahed attack drones in the Kharkiv region before they could strike their targets. It mentioned that the Russian military hit the village of Zolochiv yesterday with an “Iskander-M” missile, leading to the destruction of civilian infrastructure. There have been no reports of civilian casualties or injuries due to the Russian bombardment yet.
