3 Soldiers Killed in Helicopter Crash in Algeria

In a somber incident, an Algerian Air Force helicopter crashed on Wednesday night in central El Menia province, resulting in the tragic loss of all three crew members on board.

The Ministry of Defense released a statement on Thursday, confirming the fatalities and providing details of the unfortunate event.

The statement indicated that the crash involved a Mi-171 helicopter and occurred during a night training operation in the vicinity of El Menia airport.

The precise circumstances leading to the crash are yet to be determined, prompting Algerian Army Chief of Staff Said Chengriha to order a comprehensive investigation into the accident.

The loss of the three soldiers in this helicopter crash is a poignant reminder of the inherent risks associated with military training operations.

The investigation aims to shed light on the causes of the incident, contributing to a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
