22 Injured in Bus Fire in Egypt

22 individuals, including 18 Sudanese, were injured in a bus fire that erupted on the Shalateen route in the Red Sea governorate in southern Egypt.

Egyptian authorities received a notification from the emergency operations room about a fire on a passenger bus traveling on the Shalateen-Abu Ramad route. Immediate actions were taken to dispatch multiple ambulances and fire-fighting forces to control the fire and rescue the passengers.

18 ambulances were dispatched to the scene of the accident. A medical source confirmed that the total number of injuries in the incident reached 22 people, including 18 Sudanese, and they were transferred to the Shalateen Central Hospital where all are currently stable.

The necessary report about the incident was filed and the competent authorities have been informed to initiate investigations.
