In a tragic incident in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, the number of fatalities from an explosion that occurred outside a political party’s office has climbed to 14. The explosion, which took place in the Bishin area of Balochistan on Wednesday, also left more than 30 individuals injured.

According to local sources, the blast targeted the campaign office of independent candidate Asfandyar Khan Kakar in the Khanuzai area of Bishin.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and emergency services have launched a rescue operation. The injured have been transported to nearby medical facilities for urgent care.

This latest explosion is part of a series of attacks aimed at electoral offices and candidates throughout the region, in the lead-up to the general elections scheduled for Thursday.

The attack not only highlights the volatile security situation in Balochistan but also raises concerns about the safety of the electoral process in the region.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The incident has sparked a wave of condemnation from across the political spectrum, with calls for increased security measures to ensure the safety of candidates and voters in the upcoming elections.

As the region braces for the general elections, the attack in Bishin serves as a grim reminder of the challenges facing Pakistan in its efforts to ensure a peaceful and democratic electoral process.
