In a decisive move against illegal migration, the Coastal Surveillance Unit near the city of Dakhla intercepted a straying boat carrying 130 Senegalese migrants, including a woman, this past Saturday.

An informed military source revealed that the boat embarked from the Fass Bouy region, located near the city of Thies in Senegal, heading towards the Canary Islands. The same source confirmed that upon rescue, the individuals were handed over to the national security officials for necessary administrative procedures.

The incident underscores the ongoing challenges and collaborative efforts between regional entities to curb illegal migration endeavors along the African coastline.
