Over the past 24 hours, Algeria’s Civil Protection services have been called into action 10 times to extinguish fires caused by the use of fireworks and firecrackers.

These incidents coincided with the celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday in various municipalities across the country, including Bouzareah, El Madania, Draria, El Kala, Sidi Moussa, El Khobna, and Wadi Quraysh.

On another note, beach and leisure guards successfully rescued four individuals from drowning during the same period.

Regarding the battle against wildfires and agricultural crop fires, a total of 17 fires have been brought under control.

This includes four forest fires, five brush fires, and six fires in crop belts, along with two palm tree fires.

Additionally, road accidents claimed the lives of three people, while 202 others sustained injuries across the nation, as reported by the same source.
