The Egyptian forces in Alexandria managed to recover the ninth and tenth bodies under the rubble of the building that collapsed in Alexandria, Sky News reported on Wednesday.

This brings the total number of victims of the collapsed house to 10 bodies and 4 injured so far.

The Civil Protection Forces in Alexandria continue to search for victims under the collapsed property, using a number of equipment, to facilitate search operations under the collapsed property.

Last Monday, a 13-story apartment building collapsed in Alexandria’s Sidi Bishr neighborhood, resulting in a heightened vigilance among the local authorities, including the governorate’s apparatuses and health and social solidarity facilities.

Governor of Alexandria Mohammed El-Sherif noted that the top floor of the building had already received a demolition order, adding that the entire property was examined by a committee responsible for inspecting buildings at risk of collapse.

Furthermore, the Public Prosecution issued an order to detain a contractor for four days pending investigation over charges of carrying out unauthorized constructions on the top floor and ignoring the demolition order.

It also launched an investigation into the collapse, sending a team to inspect the scene. The prosecution instructed civil defense and municipal officials to secure the area and adjacent properties.
