Hussein Mohammed Othman, the President of the Supreme Council of the Sudanese Community in Egypt, commented on the developments of the crisis in Sudan and Egypt’s hosting of Sudanese citizens.

In a telephone interview with the media personality Sayed Ali on the program ‘Citizen’s Presence,’ broadcasted on the channel ‘Al Hadath Today,’ Othman stated that Sudan appreciates Egypt’s concern for the situation in the country.

He added that the Sudanese people are in a state of anxiety and dismay due to the worsening situation in Sudan.

He continued that the Sudanese community in Egypt has prepared to welcome Sudanese people coming from Sudan, further noting that Egypt welcomes all Sudanese people arriving from Sudan.

The number of members in the Sudanese community reaches 4 million Sudanese, adding that more than a million Sudanese have come to Egypt after the escalation of the crisis in Sudan, according to Othman.
