About 50 flights had been delayed at Moscow airports on Monday, the Russian Federal Agency for Air Transport said in a statement.

TASS reported that 14 flights were delayed at the Sheremetyevo Airport as of 10:13 am Moscow time.
Domodedovo had 13 delayed flights, Vnukovo 20, and Zhukovsky 3.

Earlier on the day, the Russian Defense Ministry revealed that two drone attacks were repelled in the Moscow Region.

One UAV was suppressed by electronic warfare equipment and fell in the Ruza District, while the other one was shot down over the Istra District.

Following the attack, the Russian air traffic controllers and ground services of airports took all necessary measures to ensure flight safety after the introduction of temporary restrictions on flight arrivals and departures.

Later on, the news agency indicated that Vnukovo and Domodedovo Airports resumed normal operation from 8:30 a.m. Moscow time.

“By decision of the State Corporation of Air Traffic Control, in order to ensure additional flight safety measures, temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were introduced at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport from 6:26 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. At the moment, Domodedovo Airport is operating in normal mode,” the press service said.
